Welcome to Advanced Placement® European History
Advanced Placement European History is a course designed for college-bound students who have special skills and interests in historical study. It is an intensive survey of European political, social, economic and intellectual history from the Renaissance to the present. Students will do extensive note taking, essay writing, reading in a college-level text, and analysis of documents and other primary source materials. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to take an optional Advanced Placement Exam by which they could earn college credit.
Note: These courses fulfill the junior year social studies requirement. These are elective courses for seniors, and must be taken in addition to, not instead of the regularly scheduled senior social studies courses.
