Algebra II

Algebra II is a continuation of the Holt curriculum that follows Geometry. Most students in this class are juniors who took Geometry in tenth grade.

Graphing Calculator - A graphing calculator is required for this course. The Eagan High School Math Department recommends the TI-84 plus. (A TI-83 plus is also acceptable.) You can find this calculator for approximately $90 at retail stores including Target, Best Buy, Office Max, Office Depot, Sam's Club, K-Mart, Walgreen's etc. You may also find used calculators on internet websites such as Ebay. If you buy your calculator early, please keep the packaging. The EHS math department can use the UPC barcodes (Proof of Purchase) from the package to get instructional materials from Texas Instruments. Cutting this out from the package and submitting it to your Algebra 2 teacher during the first week would be greatly appreciated.

Please click on "teachers" on lefthand column for more information.

This course is for students who have had a full year of geometry. Students in this course will continue to learn to describe the world around them with algebraic expressions, equations, graphs, and statistics. Applications and calculators provide a context in the language of algebra. Students need graph paper and a graphing calculator.
Note: This is a year-long course.
Students should register for all three trimesters.
